Fenway Park Tickets

Fenway Park is the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball and the spiritual home of the sport's most stubborn fan base. The building sits at 4 Jersey Street in Boston's Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood, wedged between Lansdowne Street, Brookline Avenue and Yawkey Way, and it has been hosting Red Sox baseball continuously since it opened in April 1912 — five days after the Titanic sank, which is the comparison the team uses every time someone questions the building's age. The current configuration seats roughly 37,755 fans, which makes Fenway one of the smallest active parks in the majors, and the bowl wraps tight around the field on every side because the original 1912 footprint had to thread between existing city streets rather than the other way around. The signature feature is the Green Monster, the 37-foot-high left-field wall that turned a quirk of the city grid into the most famous architectural element in American baseball, and the seats that sit on top of it have become some of the most-requested in the league. Beyond Red Sox baseball from April through October, Fenway runs a full secondary calendar of stadium concerts every summer — Pearl Jam multi-night residencies, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Billy Joel and Coldplay have all played the building — plus the Frozen Fenway college hockey tradition, the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, year-round Fenway Park Tours and one-off events booked through Fenway Sports Group. The park was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012 for its centennial, which is the closest the federal government gets to giving a building a permanent ticket.
