About the Detroit Tigers
The Detroit Tigers are four-time World Series champions and one of the American League's founding franchises. Ty Cobb, Hank Greenberg, Al Kaline, and Miguel Cabrera headline their storied history at Comerica Park.
The Detroit Tigers are one of the eight charter members of the American League, founded in 1901. The franchise produced Ty Cobb, Hank Greenberg, Al Kaline, Alan Trammell, and Miguel Cabrera, whose 2012 Triple Crown was the first in 45 years. The Tigers won four World Series titles (1935, 1945, 1968, 1984) and moved to Comerica Park, a modern open-air ballpark in downtown Detroit, in 2000.

Inside a Detroit Tigers home game
Expect a full house of baseball energy when the Detroit Tigers host at Comerica Park, the 41,083-seat stadium. Comerica Park opened in 2000 and is a lively place to watch the game. The rivalry with the Guardians (16 recorded meetings) lifts the atmosphere a notch and pushes ticket demand higher. Doors usually open well before the first whistle, so arriving 45 minutes early leaves time for security and concessions. Most baseball games run about 2–3 hours.
