Yankee Stadium Tickets

Yankee Stadium sits at 1 East 161st Street in the South Bronx, two blocks east of the Harlem River and directly across the street from the patch of asphalt that used to be the original House That Ruth Built. Opened on April 16, 2009 at a construction cost of roughly $2.3 billion — the most expensive ballpark ever built at the time — the new building replaced the 1923-2008 stadium that hosted 26 of the Yankees' 27 World Series championships and remains the most storied address in American baseball. Capacity sits at 47,309 for Yankees games, drops to roughly 28,000 for New York City FC matches in soccer configuration with the field rotated and the outfield bowl closed, and pushes north of 50,000 for stadium-tour concerts with a general-admission floor and full stage rigging on the third-base side. The Yankees play their 81-game home slate here from late March through early October plus any postseason run, NYCFC plays a partial MLS home schedule from March through November (splitting dates with Citi Field and their new Etihad Park stadium), and the summer concert calendar has hosted some of the largest stadium tours of the decade — Billy Joel multi-night residencies that became an annual New York event, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band reunions, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour for three sold-out nights, and Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour. The building is locked in as a FIFA World Cup 26 host venue for select group-stage and knockout-round matches as part of the New York / New Jersey regional package alongside MetLife Stadium.
