Question 1

What time do doors open at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Doors at Scotiabank Arena typically open about an hour before tip-off or puck drop for Raptors and Leafs games, and 60-to-90 minutes before showtime for concerts and family shows. Major touring concerts with multiple openers sometimes open doors closer to two hours early. The door time printed on your ticket or the official event page is the one that counts — major productions occasionally adjust based on rehearsal or security needs, so it's worth checking the day of.

Question 2

What's the bag policy at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Scotiabank Arena enforces a clear-bag-leaning policy. Small bags and clutches up to about 12 by 6 inches are typically permitted, and small clear plastic bags pass without issue. Larger bags, backpacks, hard-sided cases and any oversized luggage are not allowed inside and there's no bag check on site, so guests with bigger bags need to plan for off-site storage. All bags are subject to search at the entry doors. Specific events occasionally override the standard policy — check the event page before arrival.

Question 3

What's the camera policy at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

For Leafs and Raptors games, small personal cameras and phones are welcome — flash photography is discouraged during play and any time the lights are down. Detachable-lens cameras, professional rigs, monopods, tripods and selfie sticks are generally not permitted without a media credential. Concert camera policies are set by the touring artist, so a tour that bans all photography in one city may allow it in the next. The default rule of thumb: phones yes, pro cameras no, no recording during the show.

Question 4

What's the capacity of Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Scotiabank Arena seats roughly 19,800 for concerts and Toronto Raptors basketball games, and 18,819 for Toronto Maple Leafs hockey. The difference comes from the floor configuration — an NHL ice sheet takes more floor area than a basketball court, which removes a couple of rows of rink-side seats. End-stage concerts can push toward the 19,800 figure when the staging allows a full floor build-out. The building has been quoted at higher figures for special events with standing-room areas, but the seated bowl numbers are the everyday capacity.

Question 5

How does will-call work at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Will-call tickets are released at the Scotiabank Arena box office on the Bay Street side of the building. Pick-up usually opens two-to-three hours before the event. Bring the credit card used to purchase and a matching photo ID — both are required. Mobile tickets don't require a will-call stop; they load directly into your ticketing app and the Apple or Google Wallet. The box office can also help with damaged-ticket replacements and account look-ups on the night.

Question 6

Is re-entry allowed at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Scotiabank Arena's standard policy is no re-entry once a guest has left the building. The doors are designed for one-way exit at the end of an event, and for security reasons guests who step outside during a game or concert are not readmitted on the same ticket. Smoke breaks, food runs and trips back to the car all need to happen before you scan in. Exceptions are rare and handled at the guest services desk on a case-by-case basis.

Question 7

Is smoking allowed at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Scotiabank Arena is a fully non-smoking venue, with the policy covering tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapes and cannabis throughout the entire building including all concourses, washrooms and seating areas. Because Toronto's downtown smoking bylaws restrict smoking around building entrances and patios as well, there are limited spots immediately outside the venue. Combined with the no-re-entry policy, this means smokers need to plan ahead and finish before they scan their ticket at the door.

Question 8

Are there age limits at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

There's no blanket age limit at Scotiabank Arena — most concerts, family shows, Leafs and Raptors games are all-ages. Specific touring concerts occasionally set an age restriction at the artist's request, typically all-ages with under-14s accompanied by an adult, but this varies by event. The 19-plus alcohol service rule applies to anyone buying beer, wine or spirits at any concession. Premium clubs and specific lounge spaces inside the building may have their own age policies — check before booking.

Question 9

Do kids need a ticket at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Kids two years old and under can typically attend Scotiabank Arena events as lap children without their own ticket, as long as they sit on a parent or guardian's lap and do not occupy a separate seat. Anyone aged three and over needs a ticket regardless of whether they take a seat. Family-show events like Disney on Ice sometimes set the cutoff lower at age one — the event page is the source of truth. Booster seats and child harnesses are not provided by the venue.

Question 10

Where is lost and found at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Lost-and-found at Scotiabank Arena is handled through the guest services desk on the main 100-level concourse during events. After the event, items are catalogued and held at the venue's lost-and-found office for a limited window — typically thirty days. The fastest way to recover a lost item is to file a claim through the MLSE lost-and-found webform with a detailed description and the date of your event, and the team will match against logged items and email back with the next step.

Question 11

Is there a dress code at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

Scotiabank Arena has no formal dress code in the general bowl — jerseys, jeans, hoodies and team gear are the norm at Leafs and Raptors games, and concert attire follows the tour. Premium clubs like the Chairman's Suite tier and select hospitality spaces have a smart-casual expectation, which typically means no ripped clothing, no athletic shorts and no offensive graphics. The building runs cool, especially during hockey games, so a layer is the practical play in winter even if you're wearing a jersey.

Question 12

Which entrance is accessible at Scotiabank Arena?

Accepted Answer

The main accessible entrances at Scotiabank Arena are at Gate 2 on Bremner Boulevard and at the York Street entry, both with level sidewalk access and elevators to every concourse. The Bremner side is also where the accessible drop-off zone is located, making it the easiest entry for guests arriving by rideshare or accessible taxi. From either entrance, elevators serve the 100, 200 and 300 levels, and accessible washrooms and concessions are distributed across each concourse to avoid forcing a long route.
