Parking tips for Cornell Big Red Football
Parking for Cornell Big Red Football games is centered on Schoellkopf Field and the surrounding Ithaca blocks. Official on-site or attached lots are the most convenient but sell out and surge in price on big dates, while nearby garages and street options can be cheaper if you arrive early. Pre-booking a spot ahead of time is the most reliable way to avoid game-day stress.
1. Pre-book parking online before game day — prices climb sharply at the gate for Cornell Big Red Football home games, especially rivalry and weekend dates.
2. Arrive at least 45–60 minutes early to clear traffic around Schoellkopf Field and walk in without rushing.
3. Compare official lots against nearby garages a few blocks out; the short walk often saves a meaningful amount.
4. Use a designated rideshare pickup/drop-off zone to skip parking entirely on the busiest Cornell Big Red Football nights.
5. Check for public transit to Schoellkopf Field — on weeknights it's frequently faster and cheaper than driving and parking.
