About the Club de Foot Montréal
CF Montréal — formerly the Montreal Impact — is one of MLS's founding-era clubs and the only Canadian team outside of Toronto and Vancouver. They play at Saputo Stadium on Île Sainte-Hélène and represent Québec's bilingual soccer culture.
CF Montréal (formerly the Montreal Impact) joined MLS in 2012 as the league's 19th team. The club plays at Saputo Stadium on Île Sainte-Hélène — a 20,341-seat venue adjacent to the 1976 Olympic site — and embraced a full rebrand to CF Montréal in 2021. A bilingual fan culture blending English and French and the ultras group L'Union Montréal have defined different chapters of the club's MLS story. CF Montréal reached the Eastern Conference Final in 2021 in one of their strongest recent campaigns.
